Circuit Clinical, an American based patient-oriented integrated research organization, announced partnership with Calspan-University of Buffalo Research Center. This will allow interested clinical research participants the opportunity of sharing their health data and donating their biosamples to the Calsapn-University of Buffalo Research Center Biorepository in a transparent and engaging manner. Calspan-University of Buffalo Research Center bioinformatics team, through machine learning and artificial intelligence, will use the shared health data and donated biosamples to build clinical and genomic life science datasets that will develop predictive analytic methods designed to improve patient efficacy and health economics outcomes.

Lastly, Japan’s ministry of health, labor and welfare shared a safety warning for Verzenio, Lilly’s shooting star in breast cancer. Fourteen cases of HR+/HER2− metastatic breast cancer treated with the cyclin dependent kinase 4 & 6 inhibitor developed interstitial lung disease, including three cases of fatality. Verzenio is suspected in at least four of the fourteen cases, including one fatality. Genetic predisposition may play a role.
